Birthday Weekend Celebration!

Birthday Dinners & Adventuring to Riley’s Farm at Los Rios Rancho

This weekend was so incredible, I celebrated my birthday surrounded by great family and friends. Saturday: Me, my parents and Alex went to dinner at Lone Star Steakhouse… oh man we ate so much! I always go to dinner with my parents on my birthday, its a little tradition we have. We finished our meal with a beautiful cake that was decorated with white & milk chocolate shavings. Sunday: Alex, Ian, Nancy & I went on a adventure to Riley’s Farm at Los Rios Rancho. During the season, this farm lets you pick your own apples and its the most flavorful apples I have tasted. Nothing beats picking fresh fruit straight from the trees. Even though the apple picking was not in season, my friends & I went there to have a fun lunch and wonder around the beautiful area. Me and Nancy took off to snap a few pictures before meeting up with the guys to see the farm animals. I don’t think the llama was too thrilled with Ian.  After wondering around and taking a million pictures, we all went inside the “BBQ, Deli & Bakery”. Their food was unbelievable!! Anything from fresh smoked Tri-Tip to Grilled Cheese w/Bacon & Apple Slices Sandwich. We finished with fresh pastries, I had a Triple Berry Pastry and Nancy opted for an Apple Turnover. We were in foodie heaven! Monday: My actual birthday… I startedmy day by waking up early and spending the morning with my animals before getting ready for work. When I got to work I was surprised with flower delivery from my parents and right after my team gave me a sweet card. I also had a delicious Indian food lunch with Dharmesh and then got a surprise visit from Tracy with a box of mini cakes in hand from Nothing Bundt Cakes … The lemon cakes was so good… I decided to save a few for Alex to try. I finished my birthday with a nice dinner at the Citrus City Grille with Alex. This place has so many great options but I always stick to my same dish “Prawns Saffron Risotto”, if you like risotto this is definitely a dish for you. We were surrounded by unique lamp shades that covered the entire restaurant ceiling. I ended my birthday celebration with a cup of hot tea and a movie night.

Adventures, Dinners & Desserts…What a great way to celebrate a birthday surrounded by family and friends!
